New Dermatology, Surgery Center Opens in Fleming Island
Jacksonville, FL (July 14, 2007) - The new Fleming Island Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery Center, located at Suite C on 1681 Eagle Harbor Pkwy., officially opened for business today.
The new dermatology center is operated by the Associates in Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery (ADAS) umbrella. ADAS also operates the Ponte Vedra Dermatology and Aesthetic Center founded by Dr. David T. Harvey in 1996 – the first in the city to offer both a complete dermatology skin care practice and Moh’s Cancer Surgery, a special type of surgery used to treat basal cell skin cancer.
"We’re excited about our new center, since many of our patients live in the area around Fleming Island and Eagle Harbor and were driving out to our Ponte Vedra Center before," Dr. Harvey said. "This will make it more convenient for our existing patients and allow us to reach out to new patients in St. Johns and Clay counties."
Dr. Harvey adds that ADAS is planning an open house for the Fleming Island location later in September when the weather gets cooler. In the meantime, the center staff is working to coordinate free skin screenings with community organizations and other groups to introduce area residents to the physicians, staff and services available at the new center.
In addition to the Fleming Island location, ADAS in the planning phase for another new dermatology center in the Palm Coast area.
